Renormalon Contributions to Fragmentation Functions in Non Singlet Dis
This talk discusses the power behaved corrections to fragmentation functions for the current jet in non-singlet deep inelastic scattering. These corrections are estimated by means of a renormalon model using a dispersive approach 8. The assumption of a universal infrared finite coupling enables us to provide quantitative estimates.
متن کاملStructure Functions and High Twist Contributions in Perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics"
Perturbative QCD predictions are presented for the x near 1 behavior of hadronic structure functions. The available energy xW2 is shown to control structure function evolution. In the case of meson structure functions, the x-1 behavior is dominated by a hi h twist contribution to the longitudinal structure function FL w Cx 5 /Q2 which can be rigorously computed and normalized. One of the most i...
متن کاملSeparating perturbative and non-perturbative contributions to the plaquette
We try to separate the perturbative and non-perturbative contributions to the plaquette of pure SU(3) gauge theory. To do this we look at the large-n asymptotic behaviour of the perturbation series in order to estimate the contribution of the as-yet uncalculated terms in the series. We find no evidence for the previously reported Λ contribution to the gluon condensate. Attempting to determine t...
متن کاملDiractive Structure Functions in Dis
A review of theoretical models of di ractive structure functions in deep inelastic scattering (DIS) is presented with a view to highlighting distinctive features, that may be distinguished experimentally. In particular, predictions for the behaviour of the di ractive structure functions F 2 ; F D L ; F D(charm) 2 are presented. The measurement of these functions at both small and high values of...
متن کاملZ ) from Dis Structure Functions
Various QCD analyzes of the world unpolarized and polarized deep-inelastic data on charged lepton–nucleon and neutrino–nucleus scattering were performed in order to measure the QCD scale ΛQCD, resp. αs(M 2 Z), from the scaling violations of the nucleon structure functions. In this note we give a brief overview on the status of these analyzes. Most of the analyzes performed in the past were of n...
